Even if you’re in the most modern of working environments it’s likely that you are going to encounter noise in your workplace. Everyone works in a different type of environment and some people thrive on being productive in a noisy environment. For some people however, noise can be a massive disruption that can get on their nerves and kill any progress that they would make throughout the day.  Working spaces are flexible and they can provide amenities to all professionals but if you are regularly disturbed by noise, there are some strategies that you might need to take on in order to stay productive. Here is how you can deal with your noisy coworkers!

Take Calls in Private Areas

If you find it difficult to concentrate on an important call as you are hearing background noise, you might want to consider going to a coworking space that has dedicated phone booths or private areas. This is a much easier way that you can retain information during the phone call.

Take Advantage of Private Office Spaces

If you are more of an introverted person you should consider taking advantage of private office spaces when they’re available. Many coworking spaces will offer private office spaces at reasonable and flexible rates. When you need to be extra productive, you could flex into these office spaces to show that you don’t want to be disturbed and to eliminate some of the extra noise that could be happening in the surrounding environment.

Bring a Noise Cancelling Headphones

It’s fairly common to see people with noise cancelling headphones throughout a coworking space. This is often a sign that you’re working on something important and you do not need to be disturbed. You can pick up a quality pair of noise cancelling headphones for less than $50 and this is a fantastic addition to your office.

Calmly Talk to Them About It

If you have a dedicated desk that’s near to somebody that is fairly loud in the workplace, you can consider bringing up the issue to them and asking if they would kindly stay a bit quieter at their desk. Talking it out can make sure that your coworkers can be more respectful of your wishes.

If you are dealing with noisy coworkers, consider using any of these strategies to manage the problem up front!
